Serious now... a mulch layer is one of the MOST overlooked and underestimated parts of an organic grow. Go to a tropical rainforest barefoot and what's on the ground? Mulch from leaves, twigs, branches, logs, trees.
All that falling plant matter decays over time, mycelium/worms love it and convert it in to plaint available forms of NPK Ca/Mag etc. The soil gets a supercharged surface layer on top for your plants feeder roots and your plants explode in growth. And this works in perpetual motion for thousands of years, leaf (and animal) matter drop to the floor, it decomposes, creates Michelin Star level chef super soils. New plants grow and they start dropping compost material again and it goes full circle.
Go to the Nullarbor Plains and see the compost... There's none anywhere near most plants, just scorched dirt lacking moisture and nutrients. There's not enough decaying leaf litter or moisture to help break it down and make the rich dark rainforest soils.
Ask yourself... Do i want my garden like a tropical forest, or the Nullarbor plane sitting in your grow space with the top 10 inches of soil dead and scorched from your light? There's your answer! Get a big bag of... ALFA-MULCH!
In computing there's a term GIGO which means "Garbage In Garbage Out" and that's true for organics, plants and soil.
Don't go to the local big green shed and buy garbage because that's what you will end up growing. Gro-Dirt is absolutely top tier and will produce a top tier outcome. It may seem slightly expensive but it's an investment that will keep paying you back crop after crop in big healthy plants and yields.
So stop looking, you have found the best soil in Australia. Just get it.
What a powerful tool in the cupboard the further along I get the better everything Is looking, good vigorous growth no burns witch is nice.

Its a must, as I go along further I'm noticed the flowers looking beautiful today, as time goes on I'll get a better feel but so far so good.
